At Gateway, we don’t believe banking should cost the earth, that’s why we’ve created home loans designed to reward customers who have made the commitment to live or invest in a home that is gentler on the environment. We offer the Owner Occupier and Investor Green Plus Home Loan for energy efficient homes with a certified 7 Star rating from NatHERS, or a 7 Star rating Residential Efficiency Scorecard, or a Green Star Designed or Certified home from Green Building Council of Australia. The Green Home Loan is for homes that have a Residential Efficiency Scorecard rating between a minimum 4 star up to a maximum 6.9 stars, and those that have not been certified but contain a wide range environmental and energy efficient elements.
Offering the same flexibility and benefits as our Premium Package Home Loan, our Green Loans offer a discounted rate to reward the levels of environmental features on your home. You can also feel good knowing that the interest from your loan does not fund industries and/or activities that cause significant demonstratable detrimental impacts on the environment, including but not limited to coal, oil, gas exploration, mining or extraction and logging of old forests and businesses that unethically source timber.
