It’s been over a year since we changed from a credit union to a mutual bank. Although our name changed (from Gateway Credit Union to Gateway Bank), we remained a customer-owned institution. 

Everything we continue to do is for the benefit of our Members. So to celebrate this new chapter, we asked our Members why they bank with Gateway.


I have really appreciated the personal service we have received, such as the phone calls checking up on transactions occurring within the account. They have provided us with confidence when it comes to our account safety. The plus of dealing with a mutual bank is that profits go back into the institution to benefit the members and allow the bank to create better services.

Additionally, I feel my money is safe and I am not being ripped off with fees and charges or ridiculous interest rates.

I have always loved banking with Gateway as I receive great service and the product range is first class. I find it very easy to bank with Gateway. I love the Christmas Club account and the Gateway 2go app is the best, very user-friendly.
